Cassie Patten visited our school today, inspiring our pupils in sporting achievements and demonstrating our Rainbow Values. Cassie is an Olympic Bronze medalist for 10k open water swimming. She told pupils about her potential and realising that she had a talent in swimming even though there were other areas of learning she really struggled with. She talked about her motivation and how she never gave up. She showed us a short video clip of her achievement in the Olympics and even had her medal to show us. The children loved hearing about her jellyfish story and how Cassie has achieved her sporting success.
A huge thank you to Cassie for inspiring us all and showing us how we can put our minds to something and succeed.
Thanks to Jess (Y5) for sending in the winning video clip and to the Dartmoor Schools' Partnership for this opportunity.
